To escape the hustle and bustle of the city, kick back and relax; I decided to plan a vacation with my family to a place in Arabian Sea of the India Ocean. You guessed it already from the title, YES! – It’s MALDIVES and to be more specific AMARI HAVODDA MALDIVES, where sand is as white as the smiles of the staff, where fishes & turtles swim happily in the warm waters of the Ocean,  where the weather is a dream, and the deep rays of the sun wait to engulf you in their arms!

I was personally greeted  by Amari Havodda Maldives  representatives on arrival at the airport and then Hotel. To reach the resort, in the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, we traveled in style via a comfortable domestic flight from Male to Kaadedhdhoo airport. Transfer time is a 55 minute flight, followed by 15 minute speedboat transfer, from the capital, Male.

This 5 star resort is set on a private island 400 km south of the capital Male in the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. An isolated sanctuary of lush tropical greenery, rich colorful marine life, crystal clear turquoise waters and endless stretch of white sandy beach that invite you to discover this paradise. 

 

Check-in experience was very smooth, and followed by a welcome drink in the open-air reception area. There are 120 rooms, with two villa types. Guests can experience beach-life in a sunset or a sunrise beach villa proving incredible views to shoreline, or can opt for an over-water villa providing direct access and uninterrupted views of the ocean.

We decided to stay in over-water villa. Every villa has an open-air bathroom with a bath and shower, as well as 40-inch LED TV, king-size bed, an outdoor terrace and lounge area.  Perhaps one of the most impressive part of the resort, is that Guests staying in overwater-villa have been assigned a dedicated staff from their team, who is constantly there to help with any requirement or concern.  

Apart from sun, sea, sand and ocean to enjoy, guests can dine in five bars and restaurants, get pampered in the Breeze Spa, take a dip in the pool or explore water activities from a well-equipped sports centre. There are Yoga classes happening every morning, so if wish you wish stretch your back and enjoy sunrise, make sure to attend them.

On the first day itself, we witnessed the most breathtaking sunset view and an absolutely stunning skyline.
The part of this property is that you get the opportunity to see both, evening sunset and morning sunrise from two different parts of the hotels.

Next to reception, is the main Thari bar, which overlooks the resort’s infinity pool.  It’s a place where once can enjoy the dazzling views whilst sipping the signature cocktails.  A superb spot to sit and chill, to chat or relax or just stay still while the sun shines and palm tress sway over the pool.

Next to this is the main Amaya Food Gallery – a restaurant without walls, beautifully designed so that wherever guests sit, they have a direct view of the beach and ocean. Barefoot dining is welcome here, and the atmosphere is very relaxed! This is the place where we enjoyed our breakfast, lunch and dinner. It provides an all-day buffet with a range of Asian and international foods.

The island has plenty of culinary choices, you can also find Ember Robatayaki on the other side of the island, which serves traditional Japanese-barbecue-style food & Pizza Kaage that is open throughout the day. So whether you want to dine near the pool or on the beach with the beautiful sunset as your backdrop for your romantic date, the Amari team make it happen. There are multiple options for you and their team of chefs is incredibly talented!

Something that you should not miss is the Snorkeling activity. It’s a chance for you to discover aquatic wonders  which will make your stay MAGICAL! It’s a must to do here to explore the undersea treasure. How amazing it is to swim freely in crystal clear waters with the the resident baby sharks, fishes, turtles, eagle rays and to see beautiful coral reefs.

Another activity that is a must do here is a dolphin & sunset cruise which will take you in search of dolphins while you enjoy beautiful sunset view in the evening. 

Life can’t get any better when you’re part of a scenery and every step is breathtaking. The waves whisper to you, calling you to the soft sand. The sweeps over your feet and surround you where you stand!

This place is filled with love, peace and serenity. Overall, me and my family had a fantastic experience.  We also got one free voucher per room to get pictures clicked by their in-house professional photographer & got two of them printed complimentary. 

Moments here are timeless snaps of incredible experiences. It will definitely take your breath away at first sight and i would definitely recommend you this luxury Maldivian paradise.
