Novotel Bali Benoa [Review]

When you’re waking up to this view every morning it’s pretty hard for the answer to be anything aside from an affirmative YES, worth every cent!

Recently i went to Novotel Bali Benoa for review and family vacation. It is sea front with 187 rooms, cabanas and villa resort on the edge of the peninsula of Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua.

We checked in the evening with the sun setting and strong pleasant winds beckoning us to our beach side tropical terrace room. Check-in went smoothly, and we were welcomed with a drink, coconut water and some exotic fruits. They staff was very accommodating and friendly.They explained everything about the facilities that we could use.

Each room had it’s own private garden and a traditional Balinese vibe to it. A king-size bed, TV, Sofa and a big bathroom with separate bath and rain shower. In short, it had everything to make my stay wonderful.

The hotel features 3 swimming pools, 3 restaurants and 2 bars, a kids club, gym and ‘In Balance’ spa. It has two wings – The Garden wing & Beach wing, separated by road in between them. I preferred Beach wing over the the Garden wing.

The whole resort is set up in traditional Balinese style amongst beautiful tropical gardens and ponds. The lust outdoor area will win your heart and make you surrounded by nature always. Make sure you go for early morning walks with your family/loved ones. The sun rise view from beach wing is to die for.

The buffet breakfast was served in the Uluwatu Restaurant. The restaurant is also famous for it’s themed dinner buffet. They serve the best of Balinese, Asian, Continental and Western cuisines with special live entertainment in relation to the theme. There are variety of hot and cold kitchen stations to provide the freshest and most appetizing dishes and salads. Me and my family was very much satisfied with ambience and food of this restaurant.

Another thing that makes the hotel unique is that they have daily activity schedule organised on complimentary basis for guests. This includes activities such as yoga, diving lessons, billiard tournament,
massage lesson, kayak, aqua aerobic among many others. I haven’t seen any other hotel having such arrangement for guests.

It was an amazing experience for me. Especially when i was greeted with a bottle of champagne and cake on my birthday. I came back to hotel at night and my whole room was decorated with roses and balloons.

If you wish to relax and unwind after a long day then you can also head to cocos beach restaurant to enjoy the ocean view and the natural beach surroundings.

I somehow had the best time here at night while devouring my thin crust pizza and watching a movie on this big screen. The night view is simply amazing and the hotel is lit with dim lights that creates a romantic ambience

Every thing about this place is outstanding. But the standout was the 150 minutes spa treatment at “In Balance” spa. I went for symphony treatment that was a massage combination of deep tissue, acupressure, body scrub & body sauna that soon had the stiff tectonic plates of my shoulder blades and back muscles moving like well-oiled cogs.
Another body treatment that i liked was Island spice, a massage using heated island spice & sandalwood oil along with body wrap followed by sauna and bubble bath.

A night without cocktails is like unfinished business. So i had to check out the Nanas bar. They have fine selection of beverages including signature cocktails/mocktails, wines, champagnes, beer, juices as well as bite snacks served daily. Raise a toast to your victory while you sip champagne and play pool as the snooker table is just few steps away.

Overall, i had a fantastic experience. We also got a free voucher to get pictures clicked by their in-house professional photographer. Had one of the best time staying at Novotel Bali Benoa. So many memories attached to this place. Definitely coming here again on my next visit to Bali.
