One rarely finds cars that combines the ruggedness of a true SUV with the ease of use you get with a sedan.  On my recent trip to Coorg I was invited to experience the new Renault CAPTUR – a car that is one of the most stylish vehicles to enter the compact SUV & blends a bold, assertive presence with expressive styling. 

I stayed at TAJ Medikeri along with other bloggers from all over India who were invited.  In the two day power packed itinerary not only did we get chance to get familiar with CAPTUR’s features but also had a first hand experience of how it performs in rough & tough terrains. We had an ice-breaking session and brand presentation on the first day, followed by second day where we got the chance to go for an off-road expeirence.

The first thing I noticed when I entered the car were the ultra-premium interiors, leather seats and ample legroom in both the front and back rows. The interiors are further complemented by a 392-litre boot that’s expandable up to 1352 litres. The car is loaded with other top features including a unique smart card access, and a centre console that has a touch-screen system which has built-in navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, FM, AUX-in and USB connectivity.

We drove from Coorg to Mandalpatti, threw a small party inside the car which was followed by lunch at Rain forest resort.
The car simply flew the worst of roads without ever losing composure. Also gave us pleasure of watching every other road user slow down where we speeded up.

The vehicle checks all boxes that are required in this segment &  will appeal more to buyers like me who are looking for standout looks and good driving performance.
