Airbnb offered thrill-seekers the chance to spend the night under the watchful eye of 35 sharp-toothed sharks!

The peer-to-peer rental site  teamed up with France’s Aquarium de Paris to give adrenaline junkies a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”, by entering a competition that allows people to sleep in a bedroom in shark tank surrounded by the creatures.

(Alastair Shipman and girlfriend Hannah Simpson were one of three couples to win a sleepover with the sharks inside the underwater chamber at the Aquarium de Paris.)

“I was terrified,” he said laughing.

“It was amazing,” added Simpson. “There’s no way we’re going to go to sleep.”

 

On top of the one-night stay, each winner received a private dinner for two at the aquarium, breakfast and free travel to and from the French capital.
