Luxury is about to be redefined in London. An ambitious project plans to build a “sky pool” made entirely of glass and hanging 10 stories above the ground. Luxe Londoners who reside at the prestigious Embassy Gardens housing development in Nine Elms will soon be able to fancy themselves a dip in the world’s fanciest pool.
For the overseas investor & avid-traveller who has it all, what better trophy to add to the portfolio of properties than an apartment with its own “sky pool”? London may already have a fairytale Sky Garden, but now Irish developer Ballymore plans to introduce a “world first” all-glass swimming pool bridge between two apartment blocks in Nine Elms, allowing its residents to float 10 storeys up in the air.
“My vision for the sky pool stemmed from a desire to push the boundaries in the capability of construction and engineering, I wanted to do something that had never been done before,” Sean Mulryan, chairman and CEO of the development firm Ballymore, told Homes & Property.
The project will be completed in 2018.
